The draft isn’t the only way the team adds depth or fills holes each year. After the draft is completed and no more names are announced at Radio City Music Hall, the period for undrafted free agent signings begin. Those who didn’t get their names’ called out loud, got a phone call and an invitation to Steelers rookie minicamp. The Steelers signed 10 rookie free agents on Saturday evening.
While the draft was tilted more in a defensive direction, with five defensive players drafted out of the nine picks, the team went even on the rookie free agent signings. Per steelers.com here is the list of players who received the invitation to report to Steelers Rookie Minicamp, which opens May 16th.
