Another week in the offseason has come and gone and the Ravens are still leading the league in offseason arrests. Unfortunately this is a contest that no team really wants to win. The latest has come from cornerback Jimmy Smith, who was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Saturday night in Baltimore. Smith makes five offseason arrests so far for the Ravens. Keep up the good work guys.

The Michael Crabtree–Richard Sherman rivalry isn’t going anywhere any time soon. They play in the same division and match up against each other so that’s understandable. What isn’t easily comprehended at this point is why Richard Sherman feels the need to continue the “trash talk” even this far removed from the NFC Championship Game where he deflected a pass intended for Crabtree in the endzone. Crabtree is over it and what Sherman needs to realize is that the rest of the NFL is over it as well.
ESPN recently did a survey for NFL fans to rank their teams’ most memorable plays of their history. New York Jets fans voted the butt fumble as their most memorable play in team history. It was Thanksgiving night 2012 and the Jets faced the Patriots in a divisional showdown. Everything went wrong for the Jets that night including a play where then quarterback Mark Sanchez, ran into the posterior of his own lineman, fumbled the ball and the Patriots recovered it for a touchdown. Never has a play that went positive for the Patriots amused me so much. Butt fumble.
Apparently the Pouncey twins were back at the same Miami Beach night club where last year they were pictured wearing the infamous “Free Hernandez” hats for their club promoted birthday party. This time reports started circulating on Saturday morning that the twin NFL centers were involved in an assault but shortly thereafter Pro Football Talk reported that their sources indicated that evidence proves neither Pouncey were involved in any assault. The police were called to the club in the early hours of Saturday morning but no arrests were made and the initial report seemingly came from the alleged victim’s Instagram and Twitter accounts pointing the finger at the Pounceys rather than an actual police report. Perhaps next year is the year for a modest steak dinner for a birthday celebration for the twins?
