Maybe it’s because Vegas heard about Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Ryan Shazier’s already impressive start to camp. Maybe it’s because the offense seems to be clicking very well during drills. Maybe it’s because Tomlin has tipped his hand too much…. obviously.
Or maybe it’s because Vegas changes their odds based on the current betting trends. <—– The likelier scenario.
However you want to slice it, the Steelers’ odds for winning the Super Bowl just got a little better as of Thursday. According to Jimmy Shapiro who knows a bit about sports and gaming, the odds have changed out of Vegas and in better favor for our beloved Black & Gold. The day after the Super Bowl, the Steelers were a projected 33/1 odds at winning Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. That number stayed stagnant until Thursday when the odds shifted to 28/1. Not a huge jump but they are shorts odds nonetheless.
The Steelers have even better odds at winning the AFC Conference at 12/1 – 4th in the conference. They are also at 2/1 odds to win the division. Somewhat surprising considering the talk has centered around the Bengals being “favored.”
