Lawrence Timmons Looked Rusty

The staple at ILB for the Steelers looked a little rusty on Saturday.  He missed at least three tackles and in addition seemed out of position a couple of times.  The Rashad Jennings TD can’t really be blamed on Timmons – replay showed he was held during the play, but it was never called.

For a veteran who has always been solid at the inside for years, he looked a bit rustier than one would hope coming into the first preseason game.  Being out of position is one thing, but missed tackles are a red flag of concern.  Hopefully Timmons can shake off this bad game, get back to working in practice, and show everyone that Saturday was a bit of a fluke when the Steelers face the Bills in a week.
