Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Panthers: Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream

The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Carolina Panthers in final preseason game of 2014 on Thursday night at Heinz Field.  The Panthers are 1-2 this preseason and were most recently rocked by the Patriots last week.

Both teams will be looking for some spark, heck some life, heading into the regular season.  I don’t know what the Panthers have up their sleeves, but don’t expect much from the Steelers on Thursday.  Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will more than likely refrain from playing most of his starters for very long.  Think of it as the first preseason game – a series or two at most, then the hook.  For the past several seasons, the last two preseason games have been dicey in the injury department with key players getting hurt.

The Steelers also go head to head with the Panthers in Week 3 – just mere weeks away.  Don’t expect much in the way of anything beyond “vanilla” play calling from both sides of the ball.  These two teams play each other during a game that actually counts.  Coordinators Todd Haley and Dick LeBeau will be sure to hide as much as they can.  So, expect a few extra bubble screens in there from Haley.  Ooops… wait…. maybe I did just give away the Week 3 game plan.  Hopefully, this is the last we see of Landry Jones.
