Steelers vs. Ravens: Fantasy Outlook

Last week, was a fantasy boon for the Steelers’ offensive players. Ben Roethlisberger shredded the Colt’s defense, and his skills players benefitted. Here’s a look at this week’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

If the Steelers’ offensive line is able to continue its exceptional play, then the offensive players will continue to produce. Ben Roetlisberger wasn’t sacked last Sunday and looked like the league’s top quarterback.

Martavis Bryant has emerged as a new threat on offense. Given the injuries to the Ravens’ secondary, the Baltimore defense will have trouble containing Antonio Brown while also worrying about the emerging Bryant.

The Steelers will have trouble of their own in the secondary. Steve Smith has proven to be a valuable weapon on the Raven’s offense. The Steelers are without Ike Taylor and have seen Cortez Allen under perform all season. If no one in the secondary steps up, Steve Smith could have a great night.

Le’Veon Bell will find a way to contribute, and if the game turns into a typical Baltimore-Pittsburgh slugfest, he’ll likely get plenty of carries.

The other running back in the game, Justin Forsett, has been a pleasant surprise for a Ravens offense that cut ties with Ray Rice earlier this year. Forsett is a versatile weapon both running and catching the ball.

I would be surprised to see Ben dominate the Ravens as he did the Colts, but his offensive line should give him an opportunity to perform at a high level.

This week should look considerably different from the Colts game. Look for the Steelers to continue to gel and to clean up some aspects of their game (drops and fumbles hurt but didn’t stop the Steelers last week).
