Bengals regain first place in AFC North

Andy Dalton followed up what was quite possibly one of his worst non-playoff performances of his career last week in the Bengals loss to the Browns with his single best passer rating (143.9) of his career. A.J. Green proved to be back and healthy and quite possibly the most important offensive weapon for the Bengals’ success. The Bengals handled the Saints easily in a 27-10 win that showcased that the New Orleans Saints are just not that good this season. The Saints defense operates like a leaky colander while the offense certainly isn’t living up to its potential. Seems to be a long season in New Orleans, who have now given up their first place spot in the NFC South to the Atlanta Falcons with their win over Carolina on Sunday. The NFC South looks to be the division most likely to send a sub .500 team into the playoffs this season.

Also, this happened and the internet was full of outrage for the audacity this Saints fan had in grabbing the ball that was clearly thrown into the stands for the benefit of the Bengals fan. He wouldn’t give the ball up to her and she’d later receive a game ball from the Saints for being so pathetic on the jumbotron, I suppose. I don’t get the outrage at this guy. She’s not a child and she’s clearly invading his seats area to plead for a ball, which apparently, he’s had season-tickets to the Saints since the Super Dome opened.
