It was 368 days since the last time the Oakland Raiders celebrated a victory and on Thursday night they were able to celebrate again. With a 24-20 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs the Raiders snapped a 16-game losing streak going back to last season. The Raiders still tried to screw it up somehow. With the four-point lead and a 3rd down sack on Alex Smith by Khalil Mack and Sio Moore the two linebackers decided to take some time to celebrate while Smith and the Chiefs ran back up to the line of scrimmage to snap the ball for the next play. Justin Tuck had to call a timeout to avoid the penalty for Mack and Moore being about a mile offsides and not even paying attention to the play about to happen. True to form of blowing things out of proportion, there was already talk by the time the weekend started that Raiders interim coach Tony Sparano is now deserving of another head coaching gig. His post game quotes were typical of a team who had just won their first game in Week 12.

"“We learned something today. We learned something about ourselves. We’ve been in this end of the pool a long time. I kept saying that eventually it’s going to happen. Today they just refused to give up.” – Tony Sparano"
