The Steelers face off against the Atlanta Falcons, and it is another must win for the Steelers if they want to maintain pressure on the other teams within the AFC North division. The team (8-5) is coming off a huge win against the Bengals, and continue to find themselves with an opportunity to snag the AFCN top spot away from the Bengals. They will need some help from the Browns this week, but a win of their own will set them up for the last two weeks of the season.
The Falcons are coming off a hard fought loss against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. Julio Jones had a monster evening and is making everyone in Steeler Nation nervous…. that is unless he becomes listed as inactive Sunday morning. As of just a few hours before kickoff, Jones is listed as Questionable and has not practiced all week with a hip injury. If Jones does not play, that will ease some of the pressure off of a very porous Steelers secondary. The Steelers defense will look to pressure QB Matt Ryan and disrupt his timing – something that worked well for the Packers last week until they stopped blitzing.
The game will be televised on CBS and viewers will be spared having to put up with Dan Fouts mis-pronouncing or assigning the wrong names to players again. Greg Gumble usually calls a solid game, and Trent Green is serviceable (though rambles when talking about anything beyond the quarterback position).
