Week 15 Pittsburgh Steelers Winners and Losers
By Levi Combs
What had the looks of another letdown game turned into a solid game all around for the Steelers, especially for the defense. They didn’t have to deal with the red hot Julio Jones, which certainly helped, and held the running backs in check. The offense did its job as well. Let’s take a look at the week 15 Pittsburgh Steelers winners and losers.
Winners
Antonio Brown
Brown became the teams franchise record leader in receptions for a single season Sunday afternoon. He also recorded his 30th straight game with 5 receptions and 50 yards. Sunday afternoon Brown caught 10 balls for 123 yards, something we expect every single game at this point.

Le’Veon Bell
Bell didn’t have another 200 yard game, but his impact was felt with two rushing touchdowns.
William Gay
William Gay recorded his 3rd pick 6 this season which leads the league. Without his interception for a score, the outcome of the game would have been different and the Steelers could have easily been in a much tighter fight at the end.
Cameron Heyward
Heyward had another solid game for the Steelers on Sunday, having 2 tackles but consistently in the backfield and even batted a ball.
David DeCastro
DeCastro once again made his impact felt while pulling to the left, which allowed Bell to score on the longer of his touchdown runs. He also dominated his opponents in pass protection.
Losers
Antwon Blake
If you haven’t noticed, I’m a supporter of Blake. I truly believe he has been the second best cornerback for the Steelers this season behind Gay. However, Sunday afternoon against the Falcons did not prove my point. He allowed two touchdown receptions, one against Harry Douglas and one against Roddy White.
Mike Adams
Adams does a decent job backing up Marcus Gilbert, but he really shows why he is no longer a starter in the NFL. He was beat on multiple occasions in pass protection and didn’t do Bell any favors either. The Steelers will be relieved to have Gilbert back hopefully next week.
