Cowboys QB Tony Romo will lead his Cowboys into a home game against the Steelers in Week 15, renewing a storied rivalry.
The Detroit Lions had a 20-17 lead halfway through the fourth quarter when NFL ref Pete Morelli called a pass interference penalty against Anthony Hitchens on a pass to Detroit’s Brandon Pettigrew. For some reason, not explained, the officials reversed the call and the Lions were forced to punt.
Miraculously, the Cowboys went on a winning drive with Tony Romo taking them 59 yards on 11 plays, including a fourth down conversion. There was a moment where it could have gone the other way when Cowboys rookie DeMarcus Lawrence fumbled a fumble he recovered from the Lions Anthony Spencer. A few plays later, however, Lawrence sacked Matthew Stafford on fourth down and forced another fumble, clinching the win for the Cowboys.
