The only thing worse than the Cowboys being eliminated from the playoffs this weekend is that I’ll have to wait till next season to see them lose again. That’s what the playoffs are for when your team is out of it, rooting against whoever you hate the most. Last week, the Cowboys benefitted from an inexplicable decision by the referees to pick up a flag on a blatant pass interference call to win over the Detroit Lions.

Well the refs giveth and the refs taketh away. The game was actually an exciting one, with each team backed by a hobbled quarterback in frigid conditions. Late in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys were faced with a fourth and 2 and Tony Romo found Dez Bryant down the sidelines towards the endzone. Bryant caught the ball, took a few steps and stretched out for the endzone.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy threw the challenge flag and the call was reversed. The refs determined that Bryant had not maintained possession throughout his fall to the ground and therefore the pass was incomplete. Packers took over and ran out the clock. Karma, all up in Dallas’ face. Suck it Cowboys.
