Johnny Manziel was/is a joke

The beginning of the NFL offseason is also known as a breeding grown for un-named teammates providing quotes and airing their grievances as is it was Festivus. ESPN reports that one “unnamed” player from the Cleveland Browns organization called Manziel throughout the 2014 season as “100 percent joke.” What else is new? The rest of the piece talks of Manziel’s propensity to keep his partying ways and not really wanting or being able to grow up.
The reality is, however, this comment doesn’t see the light of day if Manziel didn’t completely crap the bed in his first start and then get injured for the rest of the season as the Browns went from being competitive in the AFC North to retaking their usual spot on the bottom and out of playoff contention. Nobody gives a crap what Manziel does on inflatable animals or how many conversations he has on stacks of money he’s pretending is a phone if he doesn’t get the doors blown out on him on the field.
