Remember last year when Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon failed his multiple drug text which made him up for a one-year suspension from the league? Seems like a little bit of deja vu right now as it’s being reported that Gordon, who is obviously a part of the NFL’s substance abuse problem program and subjected to multiple tests, tested positive for alcohol and will face another one-year ban this upcoming season. This time it’s for realzies.
Last year his one-year suspension was reduced to 10 games and Gordon returned to the field only to have Johnny Manziel or some other random guy throw horribly aimed passes in his general direction but this time around he’s going to most likely have to serve the full suspension. Cue the hot takes about how we should “help” Gordon and how he has a serious problem we should care about instead of just calling him an idiot for not realizing his NFL career should be more important than taking a drink.
