The story that originally came out during training camp this year was highlighted prior to the Pro Bowl. Steelers wide receiver and Pro Bowl co-captain Antonio Brown placed a challenge to Steeler Nation on social media this past summer. He said that if fans could not make it to camp or to any games this season or could not otherwise get an autograph from him, they could just mail him whatever they want to have signed and he would make sure to sign and return it to them.

Brown kept his word and spent his weekends opening packages, reading the letters, signing the Terrible Towels or pictures, and returning them to fans. One package highlighted was from a serviceman stationed in Hawaii, who sent Brown a military service medal he had received as a gift to Brown for his dedication to the Steelers and Steeler Nation. Brown said he would most likely keep the medal in his pocket at all times to serve as a reminder to him the example he sets to fans as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
