Peterson’s day in court

Feb 6, 2015; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson autographs a dollar bill as he leaves the U.S. District Courthouse with his wife Ashley Brown Peterson as the NFL Players Association

Adrian Peterson has taken his beef with the NFL to court. On Friday afternoon U.S. District Judge David Doty heard arguments from NFLPA attorney Jeffrey Kessler and NFL attorney Daniel Nash on whether or not Roger Goodell acted outside his authority when he suspended Peterson for the remainder of the NFL season. Peterson immediately appealed his suspension but it was upheld in December by arbitrator Harold Henderson.

Peterson was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list when he was charged with child abuse charges. He since plead guilty to lesser charges and is now fighting for reinstatement from the league. The NFLPA argued that Goodell didn’t have the authority to continue to suspend him nor order him to undergo counseling to get back on the field. It’s getting easier and easier to see each player taking their problems with Goodell to court considering they have no respect for him as the commissioner and he has no clue what the hell he’s actually doing.
