Since the NFL is technically considered a non-profit organization (I know!) they are required to make their tax returns public. So, that means we get to know how much the suits make, which is only fair because the players and coaches contracts are all made public anyway. Looks like in 2013 Rogeez took home a whopping $35,017,000 in the 2013 calendar year.
Atlanta Falcons owner, Arthur Blank thinks Goodell was worth every penny.
"“The Commissioner’s total compensation in 2013 is a fair reflection of his leadership and contributions during the year.”- Arthur Blank"
This is the man who made Matt Ryan the highest paid quarterback in the league. So yeah, he knows a thing or two about overpaying a guy. This means that Roger Goodell has made more than $150 million in his first eight years as NFL commissioner. And while the league is making more money than they ever have before they’re also under more scandals and scrutiny than ever before either and it couldn’t be more clear that the NFL players and most fans have little to no respect for the commish so yeah Rogeez!
