What We Learned This Week in the NFL Offseason:
- Marshawn Lynch was expecting to run too
- Dez Bryant to be franchise tagged
- Ray Rice would play for the Steelers
- Raiders cut LaMarr Woodley
- Browns can’t help themselves with mediocre quarterbacks
- NFL rosters could expand
We’re about to enter into the part of the NFL season with more drama and plot twists than the actual games. The free agency period is set to open and with that comes cuts, releases, players signing with teams we never thought we’d see, and ultimately some NFL veterans looking for just anyone to sign them to a team.
The Steelers will enter the free agency period with that same “Can they afford to sign anybody?” drama we always seem to encounter right before we remember that they always seem to be able to move the money around either way. There are likely to be more contract restructures, some releases, and possible contract extensions coming out of Steelers headquarters in the next couple of weeks.
