As if they weren’t already having a dysfunctional offseason, the Browns went ahead and threw a wrench into their own system by signing 35-year-old Josh McCown last week. McCown can now be the Browns starter, I suppose, since now they’re really likely to lose Brian Hoyer to free agency and who knows if Johnny Manziel is even out of rehab yet.
Boy, they sure do love them some mediocre quarterbacks, don’t they? McCown had an ok year in Chicago, stepping in for an injured Jay Cutler, which landed him a big deal in Tampa Bay, where he went 1-10 once he got the starting job. He’ll fit in just fine in Cleveland.
