DeMarco Murray was another big winner in NFL free agency so far after signing a five-year, $42 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys gambled by letting the NFL’s rushing leader hit the free agent market and not being able to lock him down before he could take what seemed like the longest trip to Philadelphia anyone has ever taken.

If you were on social media on Wednesday night and Thursday you saw multiple tweets from the likes of Adam Schefter saying that Murray was “en route” to Philadelphia and expected to sign for hours on end. He must have walked there. The announcement of the signing didn’t come out till late Thursday evening and was quite anticlimactic after all that buildup.
