All of us in Steeler Nation who got excited at the thought of the Steelers acquiring cornerback Keenan Lewis via trade after reports started circulating that the corner was unhappy with his contract situation got a cold dose of reality on Saturday. Chris Wesseling of Around the NFL explains that despite his own posts describing his unhappiness, there wasn’t a chance Lewis was going to be leaving New Orleans.

Lewis explained himself his intentions on staying in his home state.

"“This is my home. I have been here 28 years. From playing a high school championship here, to helping Katrina victims with a little bit of my college funds, to trying my best to help this beautiful home and people get a Super Bowl. I love this place and every person who lives close or in it. Trust me, leaving was never an option. I love it too much. Who Dat.” – Keenan Lewis"
