Today the Steelers as well as the rest of the NFL community will take time out of their days to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and give thanks to those who gave their lives in defense of our country.
I’ve always been a proud Navy daughter. My parents met each other while both serving in the Navy so I can honestly say that without the military, I would not be here. It’s important on a day like today to remember that Memorial Day is a day for remembering those who sacrificed it all for our freedom.
My father served 23 years in the U.S. Navy and always instilled the importance of celebrating this day and honoring the men and women who never got to come home from deployment like we enjoyed so much whenever he came home.
Here is a Memorial Day tribute from your Pittsburgh Steelers.
