Kickball is a timeless sport that reminds you of the greatest days of school when you got to throw all your cares away and kick the crap out of a red rubber ball. Apparently, the game is a scooch too dangerous for Miami Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis, unfortunately.
The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson reports that Sturgis injured his quad on his plant leg during an OTA game of kickball. You’d think that the kickers would dominate that. The team finally gets together to do a team-bonding drill in OTAs and it’s the kicker’s time to shine and outperform all the other guys. Instead he sprains his quad and will miss the rest of OTAS.
He should be back by training camp though. Just hope the Dolphins don’t break out that big parachute thing or else Tannehill’s shoulder is gonna get it.
