Stephon Tuitt:

Also entering his second season, Stephon Tuitt will be asked to do more this season than last, where he filled in for injured players like Brett Keisel, and filled in at various times on the defensive line throughout the season, not becoming a prominent starter for much of the year.

Despite his lack of play, Tuitt showed flashes of potential throughout the year, gathering a number of tackles at the line, and recording a single sack on Alex Smith in Week 16, and forcing a fumble in that same game. While he didn’t record higher stat numbers as some may have expected, Tuitt did a good job filling in at the line towards the back end of the season, and could play a large role in Tomlin’s defensive youth movement.
