One of the best traditions of Steelers training camp is their annual trek to Latrobe Memorial Stadium to have an evening practice under the lights reminiscent of their high school playing days. The team boards school busses from Saint Vincent to Latrobe Memorial Stadium and have an hour-long autograph session with fans who line the fences looking for their favorite Steelers player to sign their ball or jersey.

This year some of the team arrived in style in the Mr. Roger’s Trolley and even Ben Roethlisberger ended up missing the start of the practice while he was making sure to give as many autographs as he could give to the fans who had waited for him.

The Steelers had been leading their practices off with a “seven shots” drill in which 11-on-11 offense vs. defense gets seven shots to either score to stop the score. The backs on backers drill is also a popular one for fans to watch the running backs to head-to-head against the linebackers in a battle of brut strength.
