The Steelers’ performance in the Hall of Fame game was forgettable and not necessarily of great importance considering many-if-not-all of the starters were in street clothes on the sidelines for the game. The Hall of Fame ceremony to induct former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis, on the other hand, was definitely a sight to behold.

Bettis was the last enshrinee of the ceremony, which was probably good planning by the Hall of Fame staff considering that the majority of the crowd in the stands might have cleared out after hearing Jerome’s speech.

Last night I was so proud to be standing there seeing all of those towels. It took me back to Pittsburgh! pic.twitter.com/SxW2p1QrIX

Bettis took to the stage and couldn’t help but acknowledge the heavy Steeler Nation presence in the audience in Canton. He lead a “Here we go Steelers!” chant and twirled a Terrible Towel along with giving a fantastic heartfelt and emotional speech of gratitude and pride.
Bettis had a Steelers All-Star crowd in attendance to support him including Hall of Famer’s Dermontti Dawson, Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, Joe Greene and Dan Rooney. In the crowd his teammates Hines Ward, Ben Roethlisberger, Max Starks, James Harrison and countless others cheered on the Bus as he was immortalized in football history.
