Mike Tomlin was quoted early in training camp in response to why he was keeping linebacker James Harrison sidelined when he was not injured was that he was “protecting him from himself.” The first practice where Deebo was let loose on the team was definitely a memorable one.

The 37-year-old linebacker created such a buzz for his return to practice that all the players whether in their offensive line group or special teams unit played with an intensity not seen before in camp. He followed that camp debut up with a strip sack of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles in his preseason debut.

When Teresa Varley asked Harrison what he would miss about Latrobe once the team packed up and left he was short and to the point.

"“1. Being close to work. A quick walk to work. 2. The fan interaction. 3. Nothing else” – James Harrison"
