To wrap up their time at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe the Steelers participated in a home run derby among the players and the one who came out on top was none other than No. 7 Ben Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger and Gradkowski also participated in a drill designed to work on avoiding the pass rush and Roethlisberger showed us how he doesn’t necessarily avoid the pass rush, but he always gets by somehow.
For the final practice of Steelers 2015 training camp the team welcomed visitor Verne “Mini-Me” Troyer, who is a huge Steelers fan to enjoy the festivities. Troyer even got a surprise from one of his favorite players, Antonio Brown when Brown scored a long touchdown and spotted Troyer beyond the goal post and came over to give the ball to him. Verne was wearing an Antonio Brown jersey.
And just like that, the Steelers have vacated the dorms of Saint Vincent and return to Pittsburgh to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. There will be two roster cuts made in the next couple of weeks and we’re just about three weeks away from the Steelers kicking off the regular season in New England against the Super Bowl Champion Patriots.
Let’s do this Steeler Nation. Here we go Steelers! Here we go!
