It’s gotta be the gloves

The NFL makes a ton of money marketing players like Odell Beckham, Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson for their amazing catches that make highlight reels and sell tons of merchandise. Now the NFL is wondering if those gloves they like to sell so much and the players like to wear so much might be giving them an unfair advantage.

CBS Sports’ Sean Wagner-McGough reports that the NFL’s competition committee is looking into the gloves to see if it’s giving the players too much of an advantage.

The NFL ultimately wants more touchdowns being scored so the idea that they’d actually take away a part of the game that helps put points on the board is a little silly. Plus, they make all the kids want the same gloves the players are wearing. No way they ban them and kill that cash cow.
