The Miami Dolphins had a tougher time than they should have taking care of business against the Washington Redskins to kick off their season. With Ryan Tannehill’s newly inked contract, he’s expected to take a big step forward this season and lead the Dolphins out of obscurity.
Perhaps plays like this are standing in the way for him, unfortunately. You can’t make this stuff up.

Thankfully for Dolphins fans, the team was able to take the lead thanks for a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown by Jarvis Landry. Tannehill finished with 226 passing yards going 22 for 34 with one touchdown. Kirk Cousins went 21 for 31 for 196 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Robert Griffin III stood on the sidelines in street clothes as he was deactivated for the game because his team hates him for some reason. I’m sure it will all turn out fine. Also, Ndamukong Suh may be up to his old tricks again, so there’s that.
