Josh McCown was named starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns a while ago but it wasn’t until Sunday afternoon that he was truly an official member of the Browns. McCown was attempting to dive into the goal line on a third and goal from the Jets 14-yard line and when he left his feet was hit by Calvin Pryor and Demario Davis, which knocked the ball out of his hands and out of the end zone for a touchback.

McCown suffered a concussion and left the game allowing the one, the only Johnny Manziel to make his triumphant return to the national spotlight. Manziel led a 5-play, 55-yard scoring drive with a touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin.

He built the hopes of Browns fans up high and then let them come down to a crashing halt. Manziel finished the day going 13 of 24 for 182 yards a touchdown, interception and two fumbles. Atta boy, Johnny. Meanwhile, Ryan Fitzpatrick led the Jets to a 31-10 victory spreading the ball around to Brandon Marshall, Chris Owusu and Eric Decker. The Jets also gained 154 yards on the ground.
