Well that was fun while it lasted
Remember all the talk about Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier and the havoc he wreaked on the field last week against the San Francisco 49ers roaming free and making plays? Well, according to Mike Prisuta, Shazier will be a spectator for the Steelers game against the Rams on Sunday with a shoulder injury.
Vince Williams will get the start at inside linebacker opposite of Lawrence Timmons with Sean Spence filling in when necessary. Also ruled out for Sunday’s game is Daniel McCullers. Cornerback Cortez Allen is questionable with his knee.
Here comes the “Shazier is injury prone and a draft bust” crowd to overreact.
Flash backs
Check out Ben Roethlisberger‘s high school basketball and football moves. From buzzer beaters to deep balls Ben had the moves all the way back then.
Who you got?
The ESPN staff made their picks for Sunday’s game and both the Steelers and Rams writers agree that the Steelers have the edge over the Rams on Sunday. Jeremy Fowler thinks that Roethlisberger will be well protected from the Rams front seven and Le’Veon Bell will provide a lift to the offense.
Rams writer Nick Wagoner thinks the Steelers just have too much offensive fire power for the Rams to be able to keep up. He predicts that rookie running back Todd Gurley will make his first career appearance but that the Rams defense, which gave up almost 200 yards on the ground last week to Washington, will not be able to stop the combo of Bell and DeAngelo Williams.
