Still Curtain NFL Week 4 Picks

Shockingly the Raiders, Redskins, Browns, Buccaneers and Jaguars all didn’t win together again. Out of that group only the Raiders were able to secure a victory so the streak ends at one for the rest of those teams. The NFL season is a cruel, cruel mistress.

Here at Still Curtain we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly.

Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game on the schedule.

We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.

This week on the menu for your football enjoyment we have a lovely variety of divisional matchups including the Jets and Dolphins from London, England. The game will be broadcast at 9:30 am EST and I, for one, could not be any happier.

I mean, the game has every chance to be a suck-fest but just the idea that the day could feature almost eleven hours of uninterrupted football is just glorious.

Jacksonville takes on Indianapolis, who are coming off of their first win of the season while Carolina tries to stay unbeaten against Tampa Bay. The Rams will take on the Cardinals in an NFC West showdown where the Cardinals are looking to stay unbeaten atop the division.

Your Pittsburgh Steelers have a divisional matchup of their own on Thursday night when the Baltimore Ravens come to tahn. This game should be a good old fashioned slug-fest with the Steelers relying primarily on the run-game with Le’Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams with Ben Roethlisberger sidelined with a knee injury.

The Ravens will rely on the Flacco “Heave and hope” where Flacco chucks the ball down the field hoping either his receiver makes a play to catch the ball or draws a DPI penalty. Either way, should be a nail biter.

Jack was your Week 3 winner going almost perfect except for his pick of the Ravens over the Bengals. Wonder if he’ll make that mistake twice? There’s a log-jam for the overall leaderboard with four guys each with 30 winners so far. I’ve got them right where I want them.

Feel free to join us in making picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our picks if that’s your deal. Make picks of your own or you can root for your favorite Still Curtain staffer!
