They made the plays

It’s not a mystery how the Steelers lost the game on Sunday to the Chiefs.

As Tomlin echoed immediately after the game

, the Chiefs made the plays in the last thirty minutes and the Steelers didn’t. The Steelers were 2 for 10 on converting third downs and lost three turnovers without taking the ball away at all from Kansas City.

You’re not going to win games with those stats. While Landry Jones looked great coming off of the bench last week against Arizona starting the game proved to be a challenge too tough for him as he was unable to take advantage of the offensive weapons at his disposal.

Bell was bright spot

If there was anything to take away from Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs it was confirmation that Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is a hell of a good running back. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reminds us that Bell’s 7.1 yards-per-carry average on Sunday shows that the Steelers had a winning game plan that three turnovers ruined.

Bell ran for 121 yards on 17 carries. It’s also worth noting that Antonio Brown’s streak starts up again as he had 6 catches for 124 yards. So there’s that.

Still kickin

Chris Boswell has made every field goal attempted so far for the Steelers.
