What a crazy NFL season it has been so far. We’ve officially begun the second half of the 2015 NFL season and it seems like half of the league is on injured reserve. For some reason, however, concussion-prone Wes Welker thought it would be great to make a comeback. Has he not been watching?
We’re down to three undefeated teams with the Bengals actually being one of them. It seems they’re more determined than ever to lock down a first-round bye so they’re guaranteed to survive the first weekend of the playoffs. Good strategy.
Here at Still Curtain we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game on the schedule each week.
We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
Our Thursday night game is an AFC East matchup or really just a side show to see how badly Rex Ryan is going to troll the Jets even more. Ryan selected IK Enemkpali to represent the Bills as team captain on Thursday. You remember Enemkpali? He’s the dude that broke Geno Smith’s jaw this summer. That should go over well.
The New York Giants are looking to spoil another New England Patriots winning streak and Peyton Manning will pass Brett Favre to be the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader. He fell three yards short of tying the record in Denver’s loss last week to the Indianapolis Colts.
The Steelers will likely start the game without Ben Roethlisberger for the fifth time this season while he recovers from a foot sprain suffered in last week’s 38-35 win over the Raiders. They’ll have the Browns at home and then their bye week couldn’t come at a better time.
Remy won last week with impressive picks of Carolina over Green Bay and Indianapolis over Denver. He’s not far from the overall lead with his held by both Zack and Dom. These guys are going to have to start picking the wrong teams if I’m going to make a comeback.
Feel free to join us in making picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our picks if that’s your deal. Make picks of your own or you can root for your favorite Still Curtain staffer!
