The Steelers will definitely be enjoying their bye week after a home win over the Browns and having more injuries this season than anyone can keep track of. While the team ices up their bumps and bruises during the bye we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Thursday, Nov. 19th.

Steelers outside linebacker coach
Joey Porterspoke to Teresa Varley about how
this season is going so far with the outside linebackers. He’s got the tough job of juggling the playing time between guys like
James Harrison,
Jarvis Jones,
Arthur Moatsand
Bud Dupreewho all want their shot to get after the quarterback.
Porter went into the season with the intentions on limiting the snaps for Harrison, who is just a year younger than Porter. But, he explained that the rotation plan is more about the energy displayed on the field than the count of how many snaps.
"“I try to rotate them just to keep them fresh. Sometimes they play longer series than others, but I try to manage it because I don’t want anybody out there tired when we are playing. If they are hot sometimes I will leave them in there a little longer. It’s thought out. I am watching how much energy they have. If you look like you’re tired I am going to send another fresh body in.” – Joey Porter"
He’ll be ready
Ben Roethlisberger joined the Cook and Poni show on 93.7 The Fan on Tuesday and explained that while he didn’t intend on having to play last Sunday against the Browns, he’s not suffering from any setbacks from his foot injury that took him out of the previous game against the Raiders.
The initial diagnosis from that foot injury had Steelers fans preparing for Roethlisberger to be sidelined until after the bye week. On the radio show, Roethlisberger confirmed that he’ll be ready to return against Seattle when the Steelers play on Nov. 29th.
