The Steelers return to practice this week from the bye in time to prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks on the road.

While they return to practice from their bye week we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, Nov. 25th.

About as healthy as you can be

Ben Roethlisberger surprised us all by going from limping off of the field and going straight to a hospital for evaluation on his injured foot in Week 9 to stepping in minutes into the game and throwing a masterpiece in Week 10.

On Tuesday he joined The Cook and Poni show on 93.7 The Fan and discussed his health after a week of rest.

"“As healthy as you can be this time of year. The foot is getting better, the knee feels good, you know it will take an offseason probably to get to 100 percent but I feel well enough to hopefully play some good football.” – Ben Roethlisberger"

Steelers run the north

More from Steelers News

There are always high expectations for the Steelers every year. The fans have high expectations and the organization itself sets high expectations for themselves. Steelers safety

Mike Mitchell

told

Teresa Varley that

although they’re two games behind the Cincinnati Bengals and most likely looking to get into the playoffs as a Wild Card, the goal is still to win the AFC North division again.

"“We want the division. We never want to back door into the playoffs. Obviously you will get in any way you can. We want to win the division. We want to run the North. But we will get in any way we can.” – Mike Mitchell"

The Steelers might have to win out if they still want a shot at the division. It’s not likely they can pull off the two-game swing they’d need to unseat the Bengals but even then the margin for error is very slim.

Even though the Steelers have the most wins for any non-division leader in the AFC, they don’t have the best conference record so all the 5-5 or 4-6 teams can likely overtake them in a tie break situation. The goal should be to not let it come to that, if they end up winning the division too, then that’s a bonus.

Paying it forward

Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats is paying it forward for real. There’s a lot of jagoffs and worse in the NFL that get way too much attention. It’s easy to forget that the majority of NFL players don’t beat women, drive drunk, take PED’s, or anything worse. The majority are good guys.

Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats is a good guy. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Moats and his wife Shonda donated $300K, or about 35 percent of his 2015 salary, to their alma mater, James Madison University. The Moats family have made it part of their financial budget to donate to causes they firmly believe in.

The donation will go toward improvements to the school’s Convocation Center, their basketball arena and provide scholarship aid.
