The Steelers won’t have to worry about
Marshawn Lynchgoing “Beast Mode” on them today as he sits out recovering from sports hernia surgery. But,
, Lynch’s backup
Thomas Rawlsis more than capable of carrying the load for the Seahawks offense.
Rawls is the leading rusher for the Seahawks so far this season with 604 yards and a 6.0 yards per carry average as an undrafted free agent rookie. He’s started in four games for Lynch and rushed for over a hundred yards in three of those games. The Steelers defense held the Browns to just 15 rushing yards in their last game. They’re going to need that kind of defense against Seattle today.
Don’t hold your breath
The matchup that has got all the NFL media talking about when discussing the Steelers and Seahawks game is the potential matchup between Steelers receiver Antonio Brown and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. But, don’t hold your breath waiting to see Sherman covering Brown, especially on his own.
Around the NFL’s Kevin Patra points out that while Seattle has had trouble at corner play opposite of Sherman, he’s not going to request to cover Brown on his own at all because he never requests to cover specific receivers.
"“Not once. I go out there and do my job, whatever they ask me to do. I don’t change that for anybody because I think that’s when you get caught up looking forward to things and get caught up in the peaks and valleys of a season. ‘I’m going to get up for this guy, I’m not going to get up for this guy. We don’t have to worry about these guys.’ You’ve got to worry about them all.” – Richard Sherman"
Waiting his turn
It’s pretty evident that Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown are in the zone this season. The Steelers offense throws to Brown 11 ½ times per game, according to Ray Fittipaldo of the PPG. And when Ben isn’t connecting with Brown for amazing plays he’s hitting Martavis Bryant up for deep balls that seem to always go for touchdowns.

One player who is patiently waiting to be featured in the offense is third-year receiver Markus Wheaton.
"“No matter what position, you have to think like that. Just playing football you have to think like that whether you’re a linebacker playing special teams or a receiver in my situation. You always have to be ready for your time to come.” – Markus Wheaton"
Wheaton continues to work knowing that he has to be ready if and when the Steelers need a big game out of him.
