3. Ben Roethlisberger: A-

Is it crazy to give a quarterback an A on a day when he threw two costly interceptions? Ordinardily, that might be the case but Big Ben was so brilliant for much of Sunday afternoon that giving him anything lower than an A minus would be an injustice.

Roethlisberger stood tall against a Seattle defense that has been the stingiest in the NFL over the last three seasons.

Todd Haley dialed up an incredible 55 pass plays for Roethlisberger, who completed 36 of them and threw for 456 yards.

Considering that two of Big Ben’s best weapons were effectively rendered useless, he had a remarkable game, turning Wheaton into an overnight superstar and continually driving down the field to keep Pittsburgh in the game despite their inability to stop Russell Wilson.
