The Steelers returned to the practice field to get ready to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football.
While the team gets ready to take on the Colts we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Thursday, Dec. 3rd.

Steelers guard
Ramon Fosterspoke
about his frustrations from the recent 39-30 loss to the Seahawks. Overall Foster cited a lack of execution as the main reason for the loss and expressed frustration about the offense’s inability to turn yardage into points on the board.
Foster also addressed the fourth down call where the Steelers faked a field goal attempt and Landry Jones ended up throwing an interception, swinging the momentum of the game to Seattle’s favor.
"“I thought it would work. But a linebacker and their secondary were yelling, ‘There’s a quarterback holding the ball!’ And then they did a defensive check. They checked to something. So, I was like, ‘Uh oh, this is either going to be feast or famine.’ And it was definitely famine for us on that call right there. They’re a smart defense, and they definitely sought that out right there.” – Ramon Foster"
An honor
Teresa Varley tells us that the Steelers have chosen defensive end Cameron Heyward as their Walter Payton Man of the Year. Each team in the league names a nominee for the league award that recognizes a player’s community service off of the field as well as their play on the field. Heyward was humbled to hear that he had been nominated by his team.
"“To even be mentioned with a name like Walter Payton is an awesome thing. He was one of my dad’s heroes and he is one of mine. He was a great person off the field as well.” – Cam Heyward"
Good for the Steelers for recognizing both Heyward and William Gay, both of whom deserve to be recognized by the NFL for their work off of the field as opposed to being fined for supporting their causes on the field.

Back on the field
The did he or didn’t he confusion over Ben Roethlisberger’s potential concussion seems to be over as per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler Ben was a full participant in Steelers practice on Wednesday. Roethlisberger went back to work with the first team offense sporting a fancy new facemask while Landry Jones returned to work with the second team, and hopefully not the fake field goal crew.
