Steelers vs. Colts fantasy outlook
By Remy Retro
After a big fantasy game last week what is the outlook on the Steelers vs. Colts, who are the MUSTS, MIGHTS, and MISSES?
Well we weren’t too bad with our projections here last week missing on Brown as a weekly must start when he finished with just over 5 points which is far too low for the league’s best. You were probably more than content with starting Bryant, Rawls or Heath Miller (who played less than half the game) and overjoyed with Russell Wilson.
You are going to start Wilson on a weekly basis as he is 7th in fantasy points this year but you are probably not going to see another 35 point output again. Our misses were off the mark with DeAngelo and Doug Baldwin having big games, but this game was a shootout from the onset so almost all fantasy starters exceeded their projections.
This week the Steelers host the Colts in primetime and the initial inkling is that it will be another high scoring affair.
MUSTS: Martavis Bryant, TY Hilton, Donte Moncrief, DeAngelo Williams
Both teams are ranked at the bottom of the league against the pass so any receiver here could go off. Antonio had a bad game last week with five catches despite ten targets part of this was a strong performance by Richard Sherman who while good gets away with murder when it comes to pass interference penalties!
Brown bounces back this week. I do not see Wheaton having a game like last week but if Heath Miller is out he may see an increase in targets. I called a miss on DeAngelo last week I won’t make that mistake this week.
MIGHTS: Matt Hasselbeck, Steelers DST
Hasselbeck has just over 65 fantasy points in four starts and with the Steelers defense playing like they did last week he could exceed 20 points Sunday night. It may depend on touchdowns thrown because I think the Steelers defense are better at home and have a very bad taste in their mouth left from Seattle.
Next: Steelers Dupree to make second start
MISSES: Frank Gore, Jesse James
Frank Gore has not had the best season and the Steelers with all their defensive woes are playing the run well. His coach said he was hurting and they do not really have depth at the position in fact no running backs on the Colts side are a good play this week. If Heath Miller misses the game James will get the start as Matt Spaeth is also hurt. He just won’t have the production that Miller has because of the experience factor.
