Grades: Three Steelers who destroyed the Colts
By Tim Weaver
Sunday night was an epic performance by the Steelers, who destroyed the Colts 45-10 in an impressive display of firepower.
In a game between two teams on the playoff bubble in the AFC, it was obvious which one teams would rather avoid in a potential wild card matchup. Pittsburgh demolished Indy’s defense for the second consecutive year, putting up over 500 yards of offense.
A number of players really stood out during the game, but these three in particular were instrumental in handing the Colts the loss.
Ben Roethlisberger: A+
What is there left to say about this guy? Roethlisberger looked better than any other quarterback in the NFL that took the field on Sunday. He completed several mind-blowing throws that no other player is capable of.
Check out this dime that he threw to Martavis Bryant for 68 yards and a touchdown:
Roethlisberger also threw another ridiculous dime to Antonio Brown in double coverage for 48 yards. He is becoming the king of the home-run ball in the NFL.
For the game Big Ben finished with 364 passing yards, four touchdowns and a 126.4 passer rating. He also averaged an incredible 9.3 yards per pass attempt.
Pro Football Focus gave Roethlisberger a +7.5 rating, his highest of the season.
