Steelers vs. Bengals: Three Grades
By Tim Weaver
William Gay: B+
Most of Pittsburgh’s wins this year have come courtesy of an insanely talented passing attack, or the rushing exploits of either Le’Veon Bell or DeAngelo Williams.
All year long the Steelers secondary has been getting lampooned by the press, and for good reason. Their passing defense in particular has been a sore point. As a team the Steelers are giving up 279 passing yards per game. Only the Giants allow more.
One bright spot has been the ball-hawking of William Gay, who did a solid job in coverage and picked off A.J. McCarron yesterday and proceeded to enjoy a touchdown dance to put Antonio Brown to shame:
"William Gay today"
PFF gave Gay a +1.6 rating, but we’re going with an A for style points.
