The Steelers look to add another win to help their cause of a playoff spot when the Denver Broncos come to town.
While the Steelers are working on their game plan we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Saturday, Dec. 19th.
All Steelers probable
The final injury report was posted on Friday afternoon following the Steelers’ final practice before Sunday’s game against the Broncos. Although Will Allen, Mike Mitchell, Ryan Shazier and DeAngelo Williams did not practice on Thursday, all are probably for Sunday’s game.

Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams had limited participation on Friday’s practice due to illness. The Broncos will be without safety T.J. Ward in their secondary as he was ruled out along with safety Darian Stewart.
He did get fined after all
Despite earlier reports that Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict would not be fined for his low hit on Ben Roethlisberger during last week’s 33-20 win over Cincinnati Ray Fittipaldo of the PPG reports that Burfict was actually fined almost $70,000 by the NFL for three separate plays including the hit on Ben.
The previous report came from his agent, so his pants were apparently on fire. Five Steelers players were fined including safety Mike Mitchell for his hit on Tyler Eifert, David DeCastro was fined for a facemask, Antonio Brown was fined for an illegal crack-block and William Gay and Brandon Boykin were fined as part of Gay’s epic touchdown celebration following his pick-six.
Don’t turn the ball over
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler seems pretty confident that the Steelers will clinch a playoff spot even though they might have to wait till the final game of the season to find that out. One thing Fowler suggests could ruin their chances? Interceptions.
Next: Steelers fantasy outlook
In Roethlisberger’s three losses he has thrown six interceptions. In the six victories he’s only thrown four total. That’s a big difference and illustrates how much this team relies on his arm to lead them to victory.
