More from Steelers News

Ben Roethlisberger

has been putting up some pretty impressive numbers lately. He’s been putting up a pretty impressive career, in fact.

Mike Prisuta reminds us

that what’s most important to Roethlisberger are the numbers in the win column and he’s confident he’ll get his due at some point.

"“To me, winning football games is most important, not stats or where they’re going to put me in a ranking. I just know that one day they’re going to look back and be like, ‘Man, we didn’t give this guy enough credit.’” – Ben Roethlisberger"

It’s not the same

Heath Miller was a part of the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers team that went on a run to end the season and sneak into the playoffs on the way to taking home the Super Bowl XL victory. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has Miller’s comments about why making comparisons between this team and that Super Bowl-winning team is too soon.

"“It’s far too early to make any comparisons. We’ve got three games left and we’re not even in the playoffs. We’re just trying to get into the tournament. Obviously it seems we’re playing pretty good football, but we’ve got three more games to continue to play good football.” – Heath Miller"

Brock him till you drop him

All eyes on the Steelers and Broncos game might be on the Steelers top offense against the Broncos top defense but the biggest key to victory for the Steelers might just be getting after Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler.

Osweiler has been sacked 17 times in his four starts and the Steelers rank fifth in the league in sacks so far with 38 total. According to Ray Fittipaldo of the PPG the Broncos offense has failed to score a touchdown on 23 consecutive offensive possessions and lead the league in three-and-outs since Osweiler has been starting under center.

While Ben Roethlisberger dukes it out against the league’s toughest defense the Steelers might just win this game based on their defense going after a vulnerable Denver offense.
