Ryan Shazier

Pittsburgh’s second-year linebacker has had some brilliant games this season. He’s shown that he can get tremendous pressure on the quarterback and he can drop back into coverage.

Stopping the run seems to be his Achilles heel, though and yesterday it burned the Steelers something awful.

Time and time again Shazier could not get off his blocks which led to several big plays by Baltimore’s running backs. Who are Javorius Allen and Terrance West, and what business do they have running all over Pittsburgh’s front seven for 121 total yards?

Shutting down the run game should have been the first priority for the Steelers defense. Fail.
