While the players get ready to take the field we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Saturday, Jan. 9th.

Officially out

More from Steelers News

On Friday the Steelers officially listed running back

DeAngelo Williams

as out for Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game with a foot injury he suffered against the Browns last week. Williams missed the whole week of practice with the injury

per Teresa Varley

but the team is optimistic about his chances should the Steelers advance.

Out for the Bengals officially is quarterback Andy Dalton. Dalton will be sidelined with the thumb injury he sustained in the Dec. 13th game against the Steelers. A.J. McCarron gets the start as expected.

All-Pro

The Steelers had two players voted to the 2015 Associated Press All-Pro Team. Receiver Antonio Brown got 49 out of 50 votes (who the hell doesn’t vote for Antonio Brown?) and guard David DeCastro was voted in as well.

The Steelers were one of five teams with two players voted to the All-Pro team. The Patriots, Bengals, Cardinals and Rams all at two All-Pros each. The Carolina Panthers had six of their players voted to the All-Pro team.

Win it for the old guys

As the Steelers and Bengals take the field on Saturday night the Steelers have the slight edge of age, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Throwing the average off his share is 37-year-old linebacker James Harrison who embodies the ageless wonder phrase.

Next: Steelers at Bengals: What to watch

Harrison retired in the summer of 2014 but was back in Black & Gold by the end of September of that same season. Last March he signed a two-year extension and linebacker Arthur Moats would like to send Harrison and the rest of the veterans off into the sunset the right way.

"“To send them off the right way, it’s a huge motivation in that sense. You know how hard these guys work to get this point in their career. To actually do something about it to help them out is a great feeling.” – Arthur Moats"

In 2005 they won it for Jerome Bettis. This time they can win it for Deebo, Heath Miller, Michael Vick, DeAngelo Williams and all the other “old guys”.
