The Steelers got one step closer to Super Bowl 50 with a win last week in Cincinnati.

The road ahead of the Steelers is significantly tougher now but they’re on the right track of repeating their Super Bowl XL run that began with a Wild Card Weekend win in Cincy and a matchup against Peyton Manning to follow.

The Steelers take the field against the Denver Broncos without some of their best offensive weapons to help. Receiver Antonio Brown and running back DeAngelo Williams are both sidelined as the Steelers and Broncos meet for the eighth time in the post season in franchise history.

The Steelers are 3-4 against the Broncos in the postseason and 2-2 in Divisional Playoff games against them. Last weekend the Steelers tied the Dallas Cowboys for most wins in the postseason in NFL history with their 34th playoff win. They can stand alone with that record with a win in Denver today.

With the Steelers missing key offensive contributors the team may have to rely on their defense to pull through and make game-changing plays to give them a chance to advance to the AFC Championship game. Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler talked this week about the confidence he has in his defense.

"“I’m more confident in them. They have a good idea that this doesn’t come along very often. Each step you take in advancing toward the Super Bowl, you have to raise your level of intensity a little more. I think they’re enjoying that part of it. Those guys are competitors and I’m proud of them for that, being the competitors that they are. We’re not always a great defense but they do a lot of good things a lot of times.” – Keith Butler"

Look for James Harrison and the pass rush to try and get after Manning while Ben Roethlisberger leads Martavis Bryant, Markus Wheaton and Heath Miller to hopefully make up for the loss of Antonio Brown.
