Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the offseason starts to heat up we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, Mar. 2nd.

Changes coming

The Rooney family name is synonymous with the Steelers franchise but Ed Bouchette of the PPG tells us that soon there will be less Rooney’s with ownership stakes in the team.

The five sons of Steelers founder, Art Rooney, each owned an equal share of 80 percent of the team with the McGinley family owning the other 20 percent.

More from Steelers News

Since the ownership changes the league forced the team to make in 2009 some of Dan Rooney’s brothers have been selling their share in the team. Regardless of how many other shares of the team gets sold by his brothers Dan and his son, Art Rooney II still will be the primary owners.

Could you imagine the Steelers actually owned by someone other than the Rooney family?

There’s a GIF party and we’re all invited

Thursday was #GIFparty on Twitter and here are some of the best Steelers GIFs circulating the Twittersphere.

Post combine mock

SI’s Chris Burke released his post-NFL Scouting Combine mock and his selection for the Steelers is a familiar name. Burke suggests that the Steelers will select Boise State safety Darian Thompson, although he had a rather underwhelming combine.

Next: Steelers picking Mackensi Alexander?

He’s got Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple going to Seattle with the very next pick. What do you think would do in that scenario if both Darian Thompson and Eli Apple were available at the 25th pick?
