Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the offseason starts to heat up we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Friday, Apr. 15th.

Spend the holidays with the Steelers

The Steelers’ 2016 schedule was released on Thursday night to reveal that the Pittsburgh Steelers now own your 2016 holiday season. It’s best to just give in now rather than try to fight it. Not only do the Steelers play on Thanksgiving night but they’ll also play on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Steelers president Art Rooney II shared his thoughts on trying to fill Heinz Field full of Steelers fans on Christmas day as the Steelers will take on the Ravens that day.

More from Steelers News

"“It’s a little bit of a challenge. We’ll have to work on that. It’s obviously something that doesn’t happen very often, and so in that regard it’s a bit of a challenge that we’ll have to prepare for. But games against the Ravens always seem to be big games for us, and so I’m sure our fans will be interested in helping us beat the Ravens that day.” – Art Rooney II"

The new guy

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler tells us a few things we should know about the newest Pittsburgh Steeler, tight end Ladarius Green. Fowler suggests that Green will fit right into Pittsburgh based on the fact that he is a private person who avoids trouble, he plays heavier than his early college days and he has a younger brother who is an offensive lineman that can help him morph into a blocking tight end as opposed to just a down-field threat.

Sounds like all good things.

Aw, he’s gonna miss it

The NFL took Vontaze Burfict out of the first renewal of the Steelers and Bengals rivalry for the 2016 season since they suspended him for the first three games of 2016 but scheduled the Steelers and Bengals to play each other in Week 2.

Zac Jackson of PFT reminds us how chippy the Steelers and Bengals rivalry has gotten and it has even spilled over into the offseason with DeAngelo Williams and Burfict going after each other on Twitter recently but the NFL figures better play it safe and keep Burfict away for the first rematch of the year.
